As summer approaches, we've put together a bucket list of ideas for fun things to do in and around Plymouth to help you make the most of your break diving back into your studies in September.
Explore Plymouth's street art scene. Take a stroll through the city and check out the countless murals along the way. Take a sketchbook with you and see what ideas spring to mind as you're walking.
Have a Picnic at Mount Edgcumbe : Pack a basket full full of scotch eggs and sausage rolls and head over to Mount Edgcumbe. Dip your toes in the sea or grab a pint at the pub and make sure to take a walk around the stunning grounds.
Music Festival : Go to a music festival with your friends! You could camp over or just find an evening event. Check out your favourite band or discover a new artist. Chuck on a bucket hat and a bum bag and you're ready to go. Remember to stay hydrated, drink responsibly and stay safe!
Wild Camping Weekend : Escape the confines of the city and embark on a wild camping adventure. Pitch a tent under the stars, cook meals over a fire, and reconnect with nature.
Outdoor Cinema Experience : Experience the magic of open-air cinema screenings in stunning locations around Plymouth. Grab some snacks and a blanket and enjoy a chill evening outside. Sometimes there are even viewings in the Lido which is extra cool.
Sunrise Hike : Set your alarm and wake up early for a morning walk to watch the sunrise. Take a journal or novel with you and enjoy the birdsong before the rest of the world wakes up.
Go canoeing or paddle boarding : Hire a paddleboard or canoe and head out on an adventure. Keep your eye out for marine life, and feel a sense of freedom as you navigate the open sea.
Have any other summer time ideas, drop them in the comments below!
