What’s on for LGBT History Month 2022?

Updated: Feb 3, 2022

What is LGBT History Month?

LGBT History Month is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. It was founded in 1994 by Missouri high-school history teacher Rodney Wilson.

We celebrate LGBT History Month every year to ensure our students feel proud to be themselves, and get to meet other members of the LGBTQ+ community here at Plymouth College of Art.

So, what’s on?

LGBTQ+ Raffle | All Month

We have an exciting range of goodies (including a one-of-a-kind rainbow SU hoodie) on offer for you to win! We will be doing a raffle throughout the month, with all profits going towards the LGBTQ+ Society. You can buy tickets at any of the LGBT History Month events, and from the Student Union Office, and are £1 for 1 ticket or £2.50 for 3 tickets (card only).

Flag Photo Competition | All Month

Fancy winning a snazzy prize? Well, you’re in luck as all month we are running a photo competition! Take a photograph with our flag in the Students’ Union, and tag PCA SU on social media to be in with a chance of winning. You can find us on Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
